NDC Consultancy recently completed a comprehensive project at Cosgrove Primary School on behalf of West Northamptonshire Council, supporting the installation of a new modular classroom facility designed and manufactured by SmartPod.

As principal contractor for the enabling and installation works, NDC provided full in-house services, including groundworks, building, and electrical elements of the project. Our team worked closely with SmartPod throughout the process to ensure seamless coordination between site preparation and the delivery of the modular unit.

The scope of works delivered by NDC included:

• Groundworks & Foundations: Preparing and constructing all foundations and service connections to accommodate the new SmartPod structure.

• External Works: Installation of high-quality resin pathways to provide safe, durable access routes around the new building.

• Play & Access Features: Construction of a soft play area and DDA-compliant access ramps, ensuring the space is inclusive and safe for all pupils.

• Veranda Installation: Supply and installation of a motorised veranda system, providing flexible outdoor cover to complement the new classroom.

• Electrical Integration: Full electrical connection and testing to integrate the modular building with the school’s existing infrastructure.

The completed project has enhanced the school’s learning environment with a modern, functional, and accessible space for pupils and staff.
